The Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP) is calling for volunteers to help pack over 1500 hampers for Foodbank this year.

The annual Hamper Packing Day will be held on 7 December in Ascot, Brisbane, in collaboration with other industry associations as a way of celebrating Christmas while giving back.

The AIP plans to pack 1000 Family Hampers and 300 Ladies’ Hampers, which are given to Foodbank to help those in need during the holiday season.

Over the last seven years, the industry has packed over 6500 hampers to the value of more than $700,000 for people in need, with all of the items either donated, or the funds raised by the association and the wider industry.

The AIP invites the food and packaging industry and their families to come and help on 7 December. All ages are welcome.

If you are unable to attend, but wish to contribute, invite your staff to donate some items each week between now and Christmas, such as food and personal hygiene items – or you can provide a financial donation towards the hampers.

Book your place at the Hamper Packing Day here.
