Hobart business Abel Labels is strengthening its digital printing capabilities with the installation of a Screen Truepress L350UV inkjet press, supplied by Jet Technologies.

According to the company, the strategic investment enables Abel Labels to deliver high-quality labels with faster turnaround times, meeting the increasing demands of its customers across the state. As the label printing industry continues to shift toward digital technology, the Screen Truepress L350UV is targeted at medium to longer-run jobs.

Jet said the advanced inkjet technology “empowers Abel Labels to expand its service offerings while maintaining the high standards for which it is known.”

Equally crucial for Abel Labels in the technology choice is the back-up, “Having reliable support is just as important as having the right technology,” said Trent Cowen, managing director at Abel Labels. “Jet Technologies and Screen have provided exceptional guidance and service, ensuring we can maximise the potential of our new press. Knowing we have expert back-up whenever needed is invaluable.”

Jack Malki, director at Jet Technologies, said, “Jet Technologies is excited to see Abel Labels elevate its production capabilities with the Screen L350UV.

“As the industry embraces digital innovation, this press ensures Abel Labels remains at the forefront, delivering superior quality and service to its customers across a wide range of sectors from wine to dairy and everything in between.”

The Abel Labels team collaborated closely with Jet Technologies training specialists to “ensure a seamless transition” to the new press. Jet says Abel’s dedication to mastering this technology underscores its commitment to innovation in the label printing sector.

Beyond supplying the Truepress L350, Jet Technologies remains a partner for Abel Labels, offering technical expertise and ongoing support to ensure smooth operations.
