Quadpack has expanded its packaging portfolio with the introduction of the ShapeUp tube, engineered to facilitate the dispensing of creams and cosmetics in bespoke shapes and patterns.

This innovative tube enables users to create intricate patterns such as suns, flowers, or brand logos by applying pressure to the formula through a customised design plate affixed to the tube's head.

The tube, made entirely of polyethylene (PE), can include up to 50 per cent post-consumer recycled (PCR) content. A five-layer version with an EVOH barrier is also available, featuring up to 40 per cent PCR content to protect sensitive formulas.

The tube comes in varying capacities between 20ml and 80ml, with tests showing easy filling and no leakage due to a liner integrated into the PE cap.

Quadpack's new packaging aims to provide brands with personalisation options without the cost of bespoke designs. Pre-made plates in sun and flower shapes are available, and custom designs can be developed to fit a brand’s identity. In addition, brands can choose glossy, matte, or soft-touch finishes, with bold plate colouring to enhance the dispensing experience.

The ShapeUp Tube follows the launch of the ShapeUp Stick a year ago, which introduced this personalisation-focused packaging format. As with other products in Quadpack's portfolio, an Environmental Report detailing life-cycle impact data is available for the tube.
