The Ocean Chef range of fish and seafood products has adopted a new pack design with the help of Melbourne-based agency Motor Brand Design.

The exclusive-to-Woolworths range owned by Pacific West Foods now includes marinated prawns in two flavour combinations, as well as barramundi, king snapper and yellowfin tuna steaks.

Motor Brand Design worked with Pacific West on "evoking a sense of place" through imagery of the fresh, deep oceans of the world from which the product is sourced.

Standing out in the frozen seafood category was important to the team.

Motor Brand Design's Nikki Moeschinger said the team at Pacific West was "open to throwing out category norms and taking a completely different, unchartered approach".

"When you get this kind of synergy between an agency and a client, the results are exceptional,” she said.
