Creative agency Squad Ink has won gold in the Packaging in Alcoholic Drinks category at the 20th Annual FAB Awards in London.

Squad Ink was recognised for its work on the Archie Rose Horisumi Gin Series, with accolades going to creative director Matthew Squadrito, and illustrator and tattoo artist Kian ‘Horisumi’ Forreal.

Squad Ink was the only Australian finalist in the Alcoholic Drinks category. Other entries were from design agencies in London, Stockholm, and the US.

This is not the first time the design has been acknowledged formally – it also won a gold medal for Packaging Design at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and a Bronze Medal for New Individual Brand at the International Spirits Challenge.

Foodbank Australia has appointed a new chair of the board, succeeding outgoing independent chair, Tony Froggatt, following his nine years of service. Former managing director of Lion Asia Dairy, Duncan Makeig, was elected unopposed.
