A friendly macaw has become the star of a range of cold brew coffee released by The Grounds Roastery.

The roastery, a subset of the Sydney-based Grounds of Alexandria, commissioned creative agency Squad Ink to design the label for the launch of two new coffee flavours: Seasonal Blend with Coconut Milk and Single Origin Classic Serve.

The products are housed in a 200ml amber hip flask and oil-painted illustrations dressed in gold foil offer a rich, layered design.

Squad Ink designer Ruby Grose worked on a look that would include elements such as digital print, grain emboss, high-build UV, and gold foil.

After success with the launch of The Grounds Granola, featuring Rupert the Rooster, 'Fluffy the vivacious Macaw' was chosen for the latest release.

An emotional connection with the character begins on-site in the petting area, where patrons can interact with Fluffy.

Now they can take a piece of that experience home with them to share with family and friends.
