Sydney-based design agency Marque has won gold at the Vertex Awards for its work on a premium cat food brand for Woolworths.

Your Majesty cat food was listed under the 'New Brand' category in the packaging design awards in the US.

Marque also received a silver in the same category for the launch of Woolworths' own pet food brand of Smitten.

The Woolworths Christmas range and Little Ones nappy range won bronze awards under the 'Holiday or Limited Edition' category and 'Health Care' category, respectively.

Woolworths brand portfolio manager Sophie Challenor said private brands had come a long way in Australia, and Woolworths and Marque had been a solid team.
