Pernod Ricard Winemakers has released its limited edition Jacob’s Creek Wonderland Sparkling wine, collaborating with CCL and Enoplastic for the new pack, which features illustrations by Melbourne-based Cassie Byrnes.
The Jacob’s Creek team worked with CCL for the label and Enoplastic for the hood on the bottle, as well as Sydney-based brand agency Boldinc Brand Innovation to ensure “the best end result and colour representations”.
The team used a high-build embossed logo and hood, which features four colours including white as well as a hot foil, to help drive impact and stand out on shelf.
A Pernod Ricard Winemakers spokesperson told PKN working with Byrnes to create the bright and bold design was a great experience.
“As a specialist in surface design and boasting a unique style where she is known for distinctive, colourful and vibrant floral illustrations, teaming up with Cassie for this limited edition has been great, where she has so beautifully brought to life Australia’s flora, in a celebratory and summery way,” the spokesperson said.
“Looking at our award-winning Sparkling range, the Chardonnay Pinot Noir is one of our lead varietals, loved by Australians.
“Leading into the festive season, Summer and Christmas, we thought it was the perfect time to give Aussie consumers a fun and vibrant new look on a Sparkling they not only enjoy, but also know and trust.”
Byrnes said this Wonderland piece was all about “celebrating what I love, and a big part of that is Australian flora”.
“The design is inspired by some of my favourite Australian natives: Bottlebrush and the Christmas bush, along with some of the gums that I can see through the window of my design studio,” she said.
The ‘Wonderland’ limited-edition Jacob’s Creek Classic Sparkling Chardonnay Pinot Noir is available for consumers in Australia now at liquor retailers across the country at an RRP of $14.99.
