Supporting professional growth within the packaging industry, the Australasian Bioplastics Association (ABA) and the Australasian Institute of Packaging (AIP) are now accepting applications for their joint 2025 ABA Scholarship program. The scholarship is open to packaging professionals across Australia and New Zealand and aims to equip recipients with the skills and qualifications to advance their careers.

The program offers two scholarships: one for the Diploma in Packaging Technology and another for the Certificate in Packaging. Both qualifications aim to enhance skills and career progression in the packaging sector.

The Diploma in Packaging Technology Scholarship provides an opportunity to pursue a Level 5 PIABC qualification, which is recognised internationally. Designed for professionals aiming to take on responsibilities across the packaging supply chain, the diploma offers foundational knowledge and prepares graduates for senior roles within the industry.

The Certificate in Packaging Scholarship introduces newcomers to the sector. This Level 3 PIABC course delivers a comprehensive overview of packaging materials and processes, serving as a foundation for career growth and adding measurable value to businesses.

These scholarships are open to individuals from any area of the packaging industry in Australia and New Zealand, looking to expand their knowledge and skills.

Application details and eligibility criteria can be found here. Winners will be announced on 6 May 2025 at the Australasian Packaging Innovation & Design Awards (PIDA), held at the Sofitel Wentworth Sydney.
