Rockwell Automation has announced announce leadership changes to key sales roles to address new business opportunities and drive the company’s strategic objectives.

 

Jim Burwell has been appointed as state manager for Victoria and Tasmania; Michael Massey as state manager for Western Australia and Kevin Cole as state manager for New South Wales.

 

Bringing a diverse range of both global and local experience, these new appointments are all well placed to deliver on our key focus to help customers become more productive and competitive by leveraging the Industrial Internet of Things to implement The Connected Enterprise. According to the company, the role of state manager provides leadership in the development and execution of strategy in alignment with the Australia and New Zealand regional strategy.

 

Each state manager will work towards key business objectives and customer satisfaction in their regions and also work closely with the company’s distributor in the execution of the sales strategy.

One of Australia’s leading lights in advocating for and advancing the fresh produce industry, Michael Simonetta, is retiring as CEO of Perfection Fresh. He will step down on 30 June with Rod Quin appointed his successor. Perfection Fresh chair, Dave Chen, said it was Simonetta’s “visionary leadership” that shaped the company into what it is today.

Premium spirits producer, Sydney Rum Distillery (SRD), is moving operations out of the city and into Muswellbrook’s old Oak milk factory, aiming to capitalise on the growing international recognition of quality Australian distilled spirits.

The latest survey results from AUSVEG have again shown a third of vegetable growers are considering leaving the industry within the next year, driven by an ongoing cost-of-production crisis and lack of farm profitability.
