German packaging machinery giant Krones has added a new subsidiary which caters for the dairy industry.

Called Milkron GmbH, the division is designed to offer plant construction and service support for the dairy industry as part of its goal of becoming a global vendor for this segment.

Headquartered near Hanover, it will focus on the engineering of production lines for all liquid to paste-like dairy products.

It will cover planning, project management, automation, installation, and commissioning and acceptance testing of the equipment on-site.

Pure Foods Tasmania (PFT) has appointed Robert (Rob) Knight as CEO and managing director, effective 1 July. He takes over from Malcolm McAully, who has led the company as executive chairman since the resignation of former CEO Michael Cooper in July 2024.
