On the Matthews Australasia stand, at the Retail Engagement Hub, Julian Laxamana, supplier specialist at Woolworths, introduced some of the tools and resources available to help suppliers, including Matthews iDSnet Cloud.

The first of which, is a set of common delivery guidelines that outline the requirements suppliers must adhere to when delivering goods to major retailers. This document was drawn up by the Australian Food and Grocery Council (AFGC) and offers various quick reference guides to assist with traceability of the most common non-conformance issues before dispatch.

Woolworths has its own supply standard guidelines, which is also aligned with that of AFGC. Laxamana said it is a 200-page document, allowing readers to delve into their area of need.

The last tool Laxamana introduced, is the Matthews iDSnet cloud – a free one stop label solution.

The concept behind the iDSnet Cloud is to take the hassle out of needing to use different software for different label formats. The cloud gives the user access to software that can produce your SSCC, GTIN and Woolworths WOW Fresh Produce labels all in the one place.

The iDSnet Cloud allows users to see products label information from any PC, in any location. The idea behind this is to keep data integrity, reduces data corruption and label errors as it eliminates the need for multiple files to be kept in different locations where information could become mismatched and is not updated when label information changes.

Matthews has recorded all the talks at the Retailer Engagement Hub, which can be viewed here.
