Industrial automation and digital transformation leader, Rockwell Automation, will be joining forces with its Gold OEM partner, HMPS, to showcase a new tub filler machine at APPEX 2024, which will run from 12-15 March in Melbourne, on Stand E040.

HMPS is an Australian company specialising in designing, developing and manufacturing high-quality machinery for packaging processes, integrated with technologies.

At APPEX 2024, HMPS will be launching a new tub filler, which includes Rockwell technologies such as Compact GuardLogix5380, ASEM 6300, FactoryTalk Optix, Kinetix 5700 and Safety GuardLink.

The tub filler can be used to more efficiently package products such as yoghurt, ice cream and dips.

“We are excited about this new launch because it’s the first time HMPS has used our latest FactoryTalk Optix open, scalable, human-machine interface visualisation platform,” said Vy Giap, account manager, OEM and system integrator at Rockwell.

FactoryTalk Optix is part of Rockwell’s large family of industrial digital transformation software, built for supporting an ecosystem of advanced industrial applications, including IoT.

“FactoryTalk Optix uses modern technology designed to make collaboration even easier. Simple, intuitive touch screens that operate directly through a web browser – not specialised software – allow for more efficient workflows and enable smart manufacturing efforts,” Giap added.

Adam Read, national sales manager at HMPS, said: “Utilising Rockwell’s digital transformation technologies in our machines allows us to offer our customers the latest solutions to enhance their efficiency, productivity and quality”.

“The new tub filler will present opportunities for us to work with customers in new markets, and having Rockwell’s FactoryTalk Optix visualisation platform offers greater flexibility for our customers,” he continued.

A golden partnership

HMPS is a Gold OEM partner within Rockwell’s PartnerNetwork programme, which means they have committed to using Rockwell’s content across their product portfolio, as the two companies work collaboratively to deliver innovative solutions to the market.

“Being part of the Rockwell PartnerNetwork provides HMPS with an opportunity to collaborate commercially and technically to increase new business opportunities,” said Giap.

“Rockwell’s extensive global resources and outstanding technical knowledge mean they can back us with the best resources for our products.”

Giap concluded by encouraging everyone with an interest in the latest packaging machinery integrated with Rockwell technology to stop by the HMPS stand to see the future of the industry on display.
