Flexible lightweight packaging company Ecolean has signed an agreement to supply its Air Aseptic package to a Pakistan-based dairy producer.

Ecolean, which already supplies its packaging to Bannister Downs Dairy in Western Australia, has been expanding globally with its environmentally friendly solution.

Fauji Foods will use the 125ml pack for its tea creamer following a deal which saw most of its liquid dairy products launched into the Pakistan market in Ecolean packaging.

“In order for our brands to be number one in the eyes of the consumer, the packages must be convenient as well as easily recognisable on-shelf”, sales and marketing head Aamir Khawas said.

“The new, smaller 125ml package offers just the right portion size for everyday consumption.

“Stand-up pouches are the future for liquid dairy products.”

Growth in the on-the-go trend has boosted demand for smaller, single-serve packaging sizes.

Ecolean’s new 125ml package is available in the Ecolean Air Aseptic product range, for ambient distribution with or without a straw.

It offers ease-of-use when opening, handling, and pouring, and can be microwaved safely.

Ecolean minimises the amount of material used in its pouches to reduce its environmental load.

“The package is as flat as an envelope when emptied, which means less space in the bin and fewer trucks on the streets,” Ecolean's regional director of Asia North and Oceania Johnny Sajland said.
