Four entries from Australia and New Zealand have been named finalists in special categories at the WorldStar awards for 2020.

The World Packaging Organisation (WPO) has announced Plantic’s RVSkin Packaging Materials as a finalist for the President’s Award; Woolworths Australia’s Bakery Plant Fibre Tray and Pact Group New Zealand’s Lewis Road 100% rPET Milk Bottle as finalists for the Sustainability Award; and Hazeldene’s Chicken Farm and Sealed Air Australia as Packaging that Saves Food Award Finalists for Cryovac Darfresh on Tray.

A record eleven companies from Australia and New Zealand have been named as winners across six categories at the WorldStar awards. The Australia and New Zealand winners will be presented with their trophies at the 2020 WorldStar Packaging Awards at interpack in Dusseldorf, Germany on 8 May. 

For companies interested in seeing their innovation receive recognition on the national and, ultimately, world stage, the 2020 PIDA Awards are now open for submissions and entry forms and criteria can be accessed through http://aipack.com.au/education/pida/. The PIDA aards, run by the Australian Institute of Packaging and Packaging New Zealand are the exclusive feeder awards for entries into the WorldStar Awards competition.
