The Australasian Packaging Innovation & Design Awards (PIDAs) are back bigger and better than ever this year, with the largest number of innovations in the history of the awards being recognised as finalists across 12 categories. The fiercest competition, not surprisingly, is in the Sustainability category, with no less than 23 innovations qualifying as finalists.
Coordinated by the Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP), the PIDAs are designed to recognise companies and individuals who are making a significant difference in their field across Australia and New Zealand.
Scroll through our gallery above to see a selection of this year's finalists. Note not all images could be displayed.
The PIDA Awards are the exclusive feeder program for Australia and New Zealand for the prestigious WorldStar Packaging Awards run by the World Packaging Organisation. The increasingly high level of innovation year on year is reflected in a growing number of WorldStar winners resulting from the PIDAs, as the ANZ region continues to make its mark on the global stage.
All 2022 PIDA winners will be automatically eligible for entry into the 2023 WorldStar Packaging Awards competition.
