Selpak has welcomed both Marty Rodgers and Damian Marcantonio to the team, appointed as sales managers in their respective territories – collectively bringing over 56 years of process and packaging experience to the roles.

Marty Rodgers has been involved in packaging and related industries for over 20 years, and for the last 15 years, he operated his own company, distribution product handling and optical sorting equipment to the food and produce industries.

A highly motivated professional, Rodgers is described as having “an investigative thought process with a practical understanding of manufacturing and packaging processes”. He will handle the NSW, Queensland and South Australian markets.

“He’s quite a fun character and a great communicator with the ability to simplify complex technologies into layman’s terms,” says Shane Sipthorp, Selpak managing director.

Damian Marcantonio has over 30 years of technical experience across various industries and manufacturing sectors, and he will be bringing all of that knowledge to his role managing the Victorian and Tasmanian regions.

Working closely with multiple technologies, Marcantonio says he loves creating beneficial technical solutions and positive outcomes.

“He crosses all the Ts and dots the Is, rarely misses anything, and he actively engages everyone in the room to make sure solutions – big or small – are fit for purpose,” Sipthorp said.

Selpak has also continued to expand its local aftersales team with additional appointments in Australian and New Zealand.

Selpak credits these appointments as a key factor towards its achievement of installing 100 per cent of its equipment (made in Europe) scheduled in 2020 and installations planned in 2021 thus far without reliance on overseas technicians.
