Detpak Cartons took out three Gold awards at the Print Industry Creativity Awards, topping the state in the number of golds achieved, and winning the most golds by any single packaging or label printer.

Detpak's Brisbane Gin job took out the 123Print! award

The 2020 PICAs were live streamed due to coronavirus, with printers around the country joining in the event which covered all states. All Gold winners now go to the National Print Awards, also live-streamed, due to take place in two weeks' time, Friday 17 July.

Detpak's Golds came in the categories for 123Print! (outstanding print), offset printer of the year, and packaging printer of the year. Its Brisbane Gin job took out the 123Print! award, its Chivas Regal 2x1L Gift Pack won in both the offset printer of the year and the packaging printer of the year categories.

Victoria packaging printer of the year went to Pandoras Boxes for the Epworth 100 Years job, while in NSW it was AAB Holdings which won the packaging crown with its Starbucks Multipiece Promotional Sampler Kit.

Label printer of the year in Victoria was shared by Peacock Bros and Taylor'd Press, in NSW Dragon Printing took the labelling Gold, while in Queensland QLM Label Makers won Gold for its Natural Evolution Green Banana label.

In South Australia Multi-Color Corporation scooped the board, taking Gold, Silver and Bronze in the label category, with its Where Eagles Dare label taking the Gold award, while in WA the Label Factory won label Gold for its Wandering Gin label.
