At this year’s IBIE Show in Las Vegas in September, Cama will showcase the next evolution of its class-leading AR technology, along with innovative secondary packaging and primary product handling systems for bakery and snack food companies.

The company said all its latest products are designed with ease of use and flexibility in mind, and are perfect for those companies looking to improve production and efficiency in their operations.

In terms of its flexible cartoning, case and tray packing, sleeving, and robotic loading systems on offer, Cama said they all have the capability to easily run multiple products and package sizes, including variety packs, with quick and easy changeover.

“Because the bakery and snack food market comprise a key part of our business, we’re excited to make our debut exhibit at the IBIE Show this September in Las Vegas,” said Billy Goodman, managing director at Cama North America.

“We understand that the bakery industry demands speed, precision and repeatability, and our versatile packaging solutions meet those demands, while still offering maximum flexibility and expert handling of delicate products.”

Hygienic designs, accessible machines, and in-house developed robots are just some of the unique benefits offered by Cama’s BreakThrough Generation (BTG) line of cartoners, case and tray packers, and sleeving systems.

In addition, Cama’s advanced Industry 4.0 compatible technology also delivers connectivity to enterprise systems for batch data capture, ERP and remote maintenance.

Also, with AR and virtualisation already proving invaluable across the design, build, commission, test and operational phases of Cama’s BTG machines, the company now offers immersive, line side support for warranty, spares and consumables, through its Augmented Machine Assistance Package.

At IBIE, Cama will give a live AR demonstration and show how the company can help customers improve product throughput, efficiency and sustainability.

Select Harvests managing director, David Surveyor, said the company’s $1.5 million net profit after tax (NPAT) for FY24, represents more than a $116 million turnaround from FY23, with an operating cash flow of $21.3 million being a 545.5 per cent increase on FY23.

Maggie Beer Holdings chair, Susan Thomas, told shareholders at this week’s AGM the board acknowledged the company must focus on earnings growth, capitalise on its “incredible” brand equity, and provide “proof points, not promises” to win back investor confidence after a year in which the company lost its CEO, CFO, and reported a $28.2 million loss.

Australian wine has received another international accolade, after a high-performing year for the industry. The 2022 Giaconda Estate Vineyard Chardonnay secured second place in US-based wine publication Vinous' Top 100 Wines of 2024.
