Jet Technologies has launched its new range of SPI pouch filling machines.
SPI is one of the few machinery manufacturers focusing all of its energy on pouch filling machines, according to local partner Jet Technologies. In the last 10 years, SPI has been successful in supplying its machines to a variety of customers in the USA, Canada and throughout Asia.
The machine design is linear and it is easy to service. SPI pouch machines are fitted with easy-to-find components produced by leading componentry manufacturers such as Festo for all pneumatics, and Siemens or Allen Bradley for the PLC controls and the colour touch screens.
Jet Technologies sales director Mark Hocking tells PKN that the SPI machines offer full flexibility for filling liquids, powders and granules for a variety of applications. “This technology was developed to cater for the growing demand in pouch packaging with quick job changeover,” he says.
The SPI model S-220 is the form-fill-seal option for flat-bottom or stand-up pouches, with or without zippers or spouts at a speed ranging from 50 to 80 pouches per minute. The SPI model P-220 is for pre-made pouches, the speed range is 40-70 pouches per minute.
In addition to packaging machinery, Jet Technologies also supplies flexible packaging materials, such as gravure printed rollstock of flexible films for the form-fill-seal option or pre-made pouches for the fill-seal option.
