Packaging and processing solutions provider tna will present its turnkey system solutions at Pack Expo Las Vegas this September.

The Sydney-based single-source supplier will demonstrate its processing and packaging equipment, controls integration, and SCADA reporting via its new tna innovation station.

Visitors will have the chance to interact with complete systems, learn about pieces of equipment, watch detailed product videos, and interact with the tna team.

On show will be the company’s high-speed vertical form fill and seal (VFFS) packaging machine, the tna robag FX 3ci. Compact and easy-to-clean, it can package a range of applications at rapid speeds, and improves output by up to 30 per cent. Features include the tna intelli-weigh omega multi-head scale, the tna hyper-detect metal detector, and tna intelli-read barcode verification scanning system. In addition, the tna auto-splice now automatically changes film reels when one is finished, reducing the need for manual intervention.

The company will also feature tna's intelli-flav OMS 5 on-machine seasoning system; the roflo HM 3 horizontal motion distribution system; the roflo VM 3 vibratory motion distribution conveyor; and the FOODesign cryo-jet 5 ambient air cooling system.

Pack Expo will run from 28 to 30 September at the Las Vegas Convention Centre.

Food & Drink Business

International multi-protein food business, Hilton Foods, has signed an agreement with CleanCo Queensland to have its Brisbane facility fully powered by renewable energy.

Our Top 100 2025 edition of Food & Drink Business magazine is more than the annual flagship Top 100 Report. Industry leaders reflect on the year past and the one ahead, we provide our annual news review, M&A wrap-up, and all the executive moves, and a Roman-inspired sports drink, Posca, is our final Rising Star for 2025.

A blend of salt, red wine vinegar, and water – known as Posca – was the ‘original sports drink’, helping to keep the soldiers of the Roman Empire marching up to 30 kilometres per day. Keira Joyce spoke with Posca Hydrate co-founders, Merrick Watts and Ed Stening, about reviving a 2000-year-old functional beverage for the modern healthy lifestyle.
