Making the world's most exclusive premium tequilas is a painstaking and lengthy process. Even the bottles take two weeks each to make.

Clase Azul is a range of four different aged tequilas and La Pinta, a pomegranate premix, available in Australia via Casa de Vinos.

Clase Azul Ultra, for example, is the world's most luxurious tequila. It is only produced in numbered batches of 100 bottles. It is made from ripened, organic Weber Blue agaves at least nine years' old. The agave hearts are cooked in traditional stone ovens for 72 hours right after being harvested. Fermentation is stimulated by yeasts developed especially for Clase Azul. The liquid is then carefully distilled to ensure maximum refinement and purity with the lowest level possible of methanol. Deep well water is used, filtered through a special five-stage process. Triple micron-filtration ensures an excellent quality tequila without comprising its integrity. And Clase Azul Añejo is aged for five years in second use sherry wood casks from Spain which are hand selected by Clase Azul's master distiller.

The bottle therefore is, quite appropriately, a striking work of art, hand-painted with pure liquid platinum by Mexico's most talented artisans from the highlands of Jalisco, and featuring a silver agave medallion in .925 Ley sterling silver, and label applied using 24-karat gold.

Every bottle in the range uses only the finest ceramics, non-toxic paints and handmade brushes.

Clase Azul Plata is not aged and the natural colours that come from the slow cooking are filtered out prior to bottling in a stunning crystal clear bottle with blue accent at its base.

Clase Azul Reposado is known equally for its superior taste and the attention to detail of its handmade decanter. Reposado translates to 'rested' or 'calm', and this Clase Azul is aged in used American oak barrels for eight months after it has gone through the distillation process. Each bottle is made with high quality white ceramic and then hand painted by artisans in the bottling facility.

Clase Azul Añejo “Edición Indígena Mazahua” (or Mazahua-Edition) is the fruit of two worlds. It is meant to symbolise the union of authentic Mexican indigenous roots (represented by the unfired clay) and European glazing techniques that when combined, result in a combination of history, art, and the highest quality tequila.
