Herbal Essences has launched a new-look, transparent and sustainable packaging for its bio:renew shampoo and conditioner range.

With the new changes to the Herbal Essences labelling, at the back of each bottle, new information reveals what each ingredient is and what it does for your hair. Each bottle also explains what is not added, including parabens, colourants and paraffins.

Each bio:renew bottle is made from 25 per cent post-consumer recycled plastic to be reused and recycled as much as possible.

“Herbal Essences believes in the power of nature and plants, for the world and for our hair,” says Saint Tiu, scientific communications, Hair Care APAC Enterprise, P&G.

“People are looking for greater transparency when it comes to understanding what ingredients are and where they are sourced from, and now, with our new sustainable packaging, they can find the information at their fingerprints.”

The Herbal Essences bio:renew collection includes seven shampoo and conditioner variants, including:

  • Argan Oil of Morocco
  • White Strawberry & Mint
  • White Grapefruit & Mint
  • Coconut Milk
  • Blue Ginger & Micellar
  • Honey & Vitamin B Sulphate-Free
  • Golden Maringa Oil

The bio:renew range is available at major pharmacies and groceries including Priceline, Chemist Warehouse, Woolworths and Coles, and costs $12.99 for each 400ml bottle.
