Esko launches new ArtPro+

Esko has announced the latest release of its ArtPro+ prepress editor for packaging and labels as part of the Esko Software Platform 2018.

ArtPro+ features a number of improvements over the previous version, including faster trapping, quicker opening and saving of files with native PDF, and a reduction in clicks required to complete tasks. This means prepress editing work can be completed up to 40 per cent faster.

Isidore Leiser, CEO of French label converter Stratus Packaging, said the new version had provided a significant boost to business.

“The majority of the PDF artwork we receive today is processed through ArtPro+. It works just great to run our prepress production: we measured an increase in productivity and improved our service and customer satisfaction,” he said.

The program’s ease of use also received Leiser’s seal of approval. “The implementation was really easy – as new operators didn’t need much training time,” he said. “Last but not least, ArtPro+ is seamlessly integrated with the Esko packaging management platform WebCenter, where our customers can connect, review and approve the artwork, significantly improving delivery time.”

The new version of ArtPro+ will be released this month with Esko’s Software Platform version 18, and is compatible with Automation Engine. It will be free to any existing ArtPro and PackEdge customers under maintenance contract.
