Packaging and print materials supplier Ball & Doggett has launched a podcast focused on sustainability, which will form part of a wider website platform called ecoporium, positioned as 'The Destination for Sustainable Packaging'.
As material distributor, Ball & Doggett believes it is in a strong position to partner with customers to support their sustainable pathways.
"ecoporium by Ball & Doggett is a brand that has been developed into a resource through a website platform," explains Zaidee Jackson, national BDM Sustainable Packaging at Ball & Doggett, and the main driver behind this initiative.
Jackson says ecoporium has been created to educate and inform the market on Ball & Doggett's Labels & Packaging range and share knowledge with sustainability in focus. With a view to extending the reach of this information sharing, Ball & Doggett has teamed up with PKN Packaging News as its exclusive media partner.
"It’s about the conversation, the collective impact and sharing important information pertaining to sustainable packaging," Jackson said.
The ecoporium podcast has been launched ahead of the ecoporium website coming on stream next year.
"We have interviewed industry and sustainability practitioners, specialists, curators of packaging brands, customers and suppliers on how they view sustainable packaging through their lens," Jackson said. "These conversations are pertinent to share with the market as we all navigate this pathway."
The podcast launched today, 14 October, with the first interview with John Bigley, managing director of Zipform Packaging.
Episodes will be released every Friday, and future guests (in alpha order) include:
- Amber Bonney, Edison Agency, Managing Director
- Lindy Hughson, PKN Packaging News, Managing Editor & Publisher
- Brett Keen, Whakatane Mill NZ, Sales Manager
- Nerida Kelton, Australian Institute of Packaging, Executive Director
- Dr Helen Lewis, Environmental Consultant
- Kellie Northwood, The Real Media Collective, CEO
- Anthony Peyton, Prep Design, Managing Director
"As a business our focus on 'Our People, Our Products, Our Planet' demonstrates our commitment to sustainable business practices," Jackson said.
"The conversation around sustainability is broad, with layers of complexity as we all come to understand within our industry how to best improve our own understanding of sustainability," she added.
"Sustainability is at the core of good business practices and we value being part of the collective making an impact and creating shared experiences to reduce impacts on the environment."
