British-based Biopac has officially rebranded as BioPak UK, uniting with the Australian BioPak business following the acquisition of both by Swedish-based Duni AB.

The partnership between the UK and Australian arms has brought new environmentally friendly products to the British market, including Carnauba wax-coated wooden cutlery and the Art Series Hot Cups designed by local artists; customers will also be able to access a new website with an improved user experience, and marketing support to help promote their environmental credentials.

According to Mark Brigden, joint managing director of BioPak UK, the business has enjoyed significant growth since its founding in 2002.

“Our focus on aligning the needs of our customers with the right sustainable products has enabled us to gain a significant market share in the UK, and the move to BioPak will give our customers a broader choice of eco-friendly solutions,” he said.

BioPak Australia, established in 2006 by Richard Fine, has since expanded into New Zealand, and last year into Singapore. It offers a variety of plant-based packaging and food service products including coffee cups and cold drink cups, plates, bowls and trays, napkins, and bags.
