Brisbane-based wholesaler Di Bella Coffee has launched a new biodegradable coffee capsule for its Peru Organic variety.

Every part of the capsule, including fibres, starch, proteins, lipids, and additives of natural origin is 100 per cent biodegradable, according to the roaster.

The capsule is also Nespresso-compatible, and will biodegrade in normal landfill within 180 days.

The Peru Organic variety has been sourced directly from the farmer and has been grown and processed without the use of chemicals or pesticides.
