The Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP) is set to join the Turning the Dial 2024 conference in Western Australia, an event dedicated to addressing food waste reduction, sustainable packaging innovation, and the circular economy for food and beverage manufacturers.

Scheduled for 30 May, the conference aims to guide businesses towards sustainability while offering valuable networking opportunities across the supply chain.

Turning the Dial 2024 will feature plenary sessions, panel discussions, and breakout workshops led by industry experts in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices, food waste, and sustainable packaging.

The event promises to provide insights and practical solutions for businesses striving to achieve sustainability goals.

AIP will be well-represented at the conference with several key speakers, including Nerida Kelton, David Kilpatrick, Micheal Dossor, and Bonnie Marshall.

One of the highlights will be an interactive packaging session hosted by AIP, focusing on the challenge of balancing the 2025 Packaging Waste Targets with the 2030 Food Waste Targets to avoid unintended consequences in packaging design.

In addition to her role with AIP, Nerida Kelton will also present sessions in her capacity as Vice President of Sustainability & Save Food for the World Packaging Organisation. Kelton will provide a global perspective on sustainability, enriching the conference with her extensive expertise.
