The creation of ecoembellish will enable Avon Graphics’ customers to understand what can be recycled, and to guarantee the use of recyclable embellished products. Tate Hone, managing director, says, “It was a necessary progression, as more customers are now demanding sustainable products. The launch of ecoembellish will provide the clarity they need.”

Avon Graphics’ hot foil stamping, embossing, UV coating products, and its Alumma raised foil, will fall under the brand, and will carry the ecoembellish logo to certify their recyclability.

Hone has big plans for the brand, with new products to be added in the future. He says, “The new ecoembellish brand will build confidence for Avon’s customers, giving them peace of mind that their products will stand out on shelf, while reducing the environmental impact.”

All products in the ecoembellish range can be placed in the paper recycling bin and are kerbside recyclable.

Avon Graphics is a specialist embellishment company and print trade supplier with operations located in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

The Senate Economics Committee has rejected the Food Donations Bill that proposed a tax offset for companies donating excess food to food relief agencies rather than dumping it. While the bill had the potential to deliver the equivalent of 100 million meals to food relief organisations, the committee said it had “serious concerns” including the bill’s “generous” tax concessions. Food relief agencies and social welfare organisations have questioned the committee’s decision to reject the bill outright rather than make recommendations for amendments.
