Design company Tweak recently evolved packaging for The Natural Chip Company to reinforce its ‘natural’ point of difference.

The Natural Chip Company brand is owned by Snack Brands Australia, which was keen to freshen up the pack's appearance as part of an overhaul.

To build brand recognition, the snacks company asked Tweak to create an easily identifiable mark.

The new pack heroes 'real', tasty ingredients and introduces vibrant colours for shelf standout.

Building on the 'naturally great tasting' brand proposition, the new look has now been rolled out, along with a new Salt & Vinegar flavour.

The Natural Chip Company brand is worth $35 million and has grown by 85 per cent CAGR over the past four years (Aztec scan to 16/4/17), driving the company's potato crinkle segment.

The Senate Economics Committee has rejected the Food Donations Bill that proposed a tax offset for companies donating excess food to food relief agencies rather than dumping it. While the bill had the potential to deliver the equivalent of 100 million meals to food relief organisations, the committee said it had “serious concerns” including the bill’s “generous” tax concessions. Food relief agencies and social welfare organisations have questioned the committee’s decision to reject the bill outright rather than make recommendations for amendments.  

The winners of the 62nd annual Australian Export Awards were announced in Canberra yesterday, featuring three winners from the food sector – including dessert manufacturer Frosty Boy Global, in the Agribusiness, Food and Beverages category.
