First up, Martine Poulain, who was appointed CEO of the Australasian Bioplastics Association in October 2024.
At a time of unparalleled inquiry and interest in the role of bioplastics in the circular economy, both domestically and abroad, Poulain brings to the industry over 20 years association experience from other related sectors managing peak industry bodies.
As the primary verification and certification body for the bioplastics industry in ANZ, the Association focus on the appropriate use of certified compostable, certified soil biodegradable mulch films and certified biobased materials for this market.
And finally, Nasim Motamed, who is a polymer engineer with an MBA and over 13 years of experience in product development and business management across various industries.
With a focus on sustainable products, Motamed has worked on bioplastics projects and is keen to clarify the different types of biopolymers available at a commercial scale globally.
