Building on the success of our popular live video and podcast broadcasts from trade shows, PKN will be staging a media hub at the inaugural APPEX 2024, creating a platform to capture conversations on key topics and give voice to the innovation and trends playing out at the show.

The PKN Packaging News Media Hub will be located on stand B095, and the PKN Podcast mobile studio will be livestreaming recordings with visitors and exhibitors direct from the show floor, with immediate upload to PKN's YouTube channel and also LinkedIn.

"The PKN livestream podcast channel is an ideal platform to get the word out about product innovation, trends and technology as featured at the show, and also provide insights into company developments," said PKN's podcast studio manager, Grant McHerron of Southern Skies Media.

Exhibitors can also generate interest for people to visit their stand. As McHerron points out, live or archived streams are often watched by people considering attending.

"You can take advantage of the 'long tail' of the Internet where people are searching for key topics or products and will find our discussion online. Many people are listening to livestreams and episodes long after they're released, helping to drive interest and marketing contacts in the months after the show," McHerron said.

PKN will be joined on the stand by sister brands Food & Drink Business and Print21, all owned by Yaffa Media.

The stand will be a meeting point for industry and customers, with the Yaffa team on hand to provide insights on key innovations they’ve seen at the show.

"I look forward to facilitating many important conversations at APPEX along with the Yaffa Media crew," McHerron said.

Anyone keen to book in some time on the livestream podcast ahead of APPEX can get in touch with Sharon Amos on e:sharonamos@yaffa.com.au
