Bonfiglioli New Zealand has officially unveiled its new headquarters in Mangere, Auckland.

The company celebrated the relocation to its new facility on 3 April on-site, where Martin Broglia, MD of Bonfiglioli Australia and New Zealand, presided over a ribbon cutting event.

“The relocation of the New Zealand branch to this new address marks a significant milestone, not just because this is a move into state-of-the-art facilities in a prime location, but because it is the culmination of hard work and commitment,” Broglia said.

“This new facility will allow the New Zealand team to further expand its offering to a growing customer base, and ensure these customers continue to get comprehensive and prompt service”.

Bonfiglioli NZ was established in 2004. Over the ensuing years, the business grew, and in 2006, Bonfiglioli NZ entered an agreement to lease warehouse space from distributor Saeco Wilson in Mangere.

The new equipment and facility has expanded Bonfiglioli's capabilities to deliver its world-class solutions.

To support the company’s expansion, stock and staff levels were increased, and a full assembly program was initiated.

Eventually, Bonfiglioli’s activities had taken over half of the distributor’s premises and after 17 years, it was time for Bonfiglioli NZ to secure its own premises.

The new facility in Auckland features a warehouse space of approximately 1200m2, and almost 170m2 of modern office space.

“The workshop is equipped with five Jib cranes, a paint booth and a parts washer, three assembler workstations, as well as factory supplied assembly and testing machines,” explained Paul Savage, NZ country manager at Bonfiglioli NZ.

With the new equipment and facilities, Bonfiglioli NZ has the capabilities to assemble the complete CAFS range which covers Inline Helical, Helical Bevel and Parallel Helical gearmotors, with a torque range between 100Nm – 14,000Nm. It also assembles the VF W worm series, with a torque range from 13 Nm to 2000Nm.

The NZ team has grown to 10 personnel, with plans to recruit additional staff in the coming months.

“We also have an extensive stock holding of the 300 Series planetary range, and offer local assembly of this range, up to 105,000Nm,” added Savage.

“From this new home base, we will continue to add value to our customers’ operations, providing prompt delivery of our world-class solutions, as well as comprehensive support and service.”
