Amcor's 2015 Sustainability Review highlighted its agreement to support the World Food Programme (WFP), its targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, landfill and water use, and key investments in safer products with a better shelf life.

The company is on track to reduce greenhouse gas emissions intensity by 28 per cent, landfill intensity by 60 per cent, and water use intensity by 20 per cent.

Amcor has been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index, the Climate Disclosure Leadership Index for Australia, the MSCI Global Sustainability Index series, the Ethibel Excellence Investment Register and the FTSE4Good Index.

The company also received a gold rating in the 2014 Corporate Social Responsibility assessment conducted by EcoVadis.

This year also saw Amcor win Gold and Silver Flexible Packaging Association Achievement awards, three European Aluminium Foil Association awards, and two World Packaging Organisation’s Worldstar awards. Each of the winning design innovations delivered a reduced environmental footprint and other sustainability benefits.
