A highly flexible compact designed pick and place (P&P) case-packing machine, the CLP, will be demonstrated by Case Packing Systems (Stand 626).

The system loads products into crates, cases or cardboard open top trays automatically; because product buffering does not take place the CLP is suitable to handle a large variety of different products which can be rigid, semi-rigid or flexible.

The infeed system is capable of turning or not turning products, which offers a huge variety of packing patterns. The pick-up head gently grasps the products, and the retracting conveyor under the products opens and the P&P head places a complete layer of products in the case, crate or tray. Placing the products in the case involves only a downward movement. The system offers extreme levels of reliability in combination with high capacity.

The CLP is commonly used to pack MAP/overwrapped trays, vacuum packs, flow wrapped packs, punnets, clam shells, tubs, inner cartons and some larger flexible bags, across a range of industries: meat; ready meals; fruit and vegetable; dairy; convenience foods; and dried fruit and nuts.

Food & Drink Business

If 2025 taught Australian brands anything, it’s that many growth pockets exist throughout an Australian FMCG industry exhibiting patchy performance. Circana insights director Australia, Daniel Bone, discusses what trends the market research company is seeing, and how food and drink brands can come out on top in 2026.

Treasury Wine Estates (TWE) has warned it will take a significant non-cash impairment against its Americas business, with the company preparing to write off at least all US goodwill valued at $687.4 million as at June 2025.

Maggie Beer Holdings (MBH) chair Mark Lindh has used the company’s 2025 AGM to lay out a clearer path for stabilising and rebuilding the business, telling shareholders the group has “earned the right to grow” after a year of intense restructuring, cost-cutting and strategic refocus.
