The makers of an inflatable protective packaging system developed in the UK are looking for distributors and resellers internationally.

The BUBLBag replaces cardboard boxes, padded envelopes, and bubble wrap, and inflates to provide a secure environment for valuable or fragile goods.

The bags take up very little space and can be reused many times, making them more cost-effective.

They hold goods safely in place in a cushion of air, as a one-way valve traps the air inside.

To deflate and retrieve the contents, a tube is inserted to break the seal, releasing the air.

The company recently secured investment to fund product development and help build its logistics and customer service infrastructure.

Two new product ranges are currently in the final stages of development for launch later this year.

MD Ross Woodburn said the bags are ideal for transporting fragile items.

Craig MacCallum, managing director of ecommerce solutions developer Developing IT, said his company will provide a platform to enable the BUBLBag to be sold through online channels such as eBay and Amazon.
