Conserving Beauty, an Australian-based skincare brand that prides itself on innovative, sustainable solutions, has recently incorporated NatureFlex films into the sachet packaging of its cleansing wipes.

These eco-friendly films are made from renewable wood pulp and are certified for both industrial and home composting by Futamura. Not only do they provide an effective barrier against aroma, gas and moisture, but they also ensure that the wipes remain in top-notch condition until they're used.

The new packaging aligns with Conserving Beauty’s commitment to sustainability. The sachets, sourced from New Zealand converter Convex, combine NatureFlex with paper and another biofilm layer for durability and protection. The laminate structure meets technical requirements for packaging performance, running efficiently on sachet lines and preserving the wipes' integrity.

Natassia Grace, founder and CEO of Conserving Beauty, said, "I am delighted to have found this packaging solution for our dissolving wipes and sheet masks. It was very important for me that the packaging matches the ethos of my brand." Her emphasis on sustainability is a cornerstone of the company’s research and development efforts.

Tamaki Kaga, regional sales manager at Futamura, emphasised the environmental benefits of the NatureFlex film, saying, "Conventional structures for this type of product would have used combinations of plastics and foil, rendering them unrecyclable. Our renewable and compostable films provide a sustainable end-of-life option."

Conserving Beauty, which launched in November 2021, has already gained international recognition for its innovative approach, earning over eight global industry awards. The company’s mission is to reduce the beauty industry's water, carbon and waste footprints through sustainable practices and continuous environmental impact assessments.
