Pollast!c tote bags: made from recycled ocean plastic

By treating plastic pollution as a valuable resource and bringing it back into the loop, Better Packaging Co. believes it is providing a truly circular solution. It is also working with some of the poorest coastal communities in the world, and rewarding them for cleaning up their own environment with long term benefits, like food, education, and clean energy.

“We are now working with communities in some of world’s most impoverished coastal regions to clean up beaches and riverways. We collect this plastic pollution before it reaches the ocean and then recycle it into packaging. We bring that 'lost' plastic back into the loop and, because it's recyclable with soft plastics, it’s a circular solution to plastic pollution,” said Kate Bezar, creative director at Better Packaging Co.
