Waste Expo Australia, which returns to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) from 26-27 October, has launched its 2022 conference agenda.

Co-located with All-Energy Australia, the free-to-attend conference offers attendees insights into Australia’s circularity roadmap.

Speakers include legislators, local councils, recycling and waste management experts, all presenting new and innovative approaches to waste and recycling.

In 2022, the Waste Expo will take a deep dive into municipal waste initiatives for waste and recycling, commercial and industrial, and commercial and demolition resource recovery and waste management, and the roadmap to circularity, as well as updates on energy from waste innovations.

Lily D’Ambrosio, Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change for the Victorian government, kicks off the conference, and will provide an overview of the state government’s 10-year plan to boost recycling, reduce waste and create jobs.

This will be followed by keynotes from Matt Genever, interim-CEO at Sustainability Victoria, and speaking for the first time, the new head of Recycling Victoria, Tony Circelli.

“We are proud to deliver the most comprehensive Waste Expo agenda to-date in 2022,” exclaimed Robby Clark, portfolio director for the energy and waste portfolio at RX Global, on being able to host the event since it last took place in 2019.

“With a stellar line-up of speakers from all across recycling and waste management, all coming together to share their successes, lessons learnt, and what the future holds.

“Waste Expo gives attendees the opportunity to hear from some of the biggest names in the industry at the conference, and do business with leading suppliers for free on the Expo floor.”
